Bison golfers beat playoff pressure for Coleman title
The McCook Bison golf team competed in the Ron Coleman Invitational on Friday April 23rd at Heritage Hills Golf Course in McCook, NE. The weather was very nice, which made the day very enjoyable for everyone involved.
The McCook Bison golf team were the team champions of the invite by edging out York High School in a sudden death playoff. Both McCook and York finished with team scores of 343. The Bison golfers competed very well today and showed a lot of mental toughness when competing in the sudden death playoff at the conclusion of the meet.
The Bison were lead by senior Payton Craw who scored a 79 and was the individual champion for the invite. Payton played very well today and it was great to see him win the Ron Coleman Invitational.
Second in scoring for the Bison was senior Brady Esch by carding an 83 and placing 4th as an individual today. Brady was very solid striking the ball today and his chipping was on point. If it wasn't for a few missed putts throughout his round his score would have been even lower.
