NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The McCook High golf boys tee off at Friday’s North Platte Invitational to finally end a nearly two-year not wanted break.

Coach Joe Vetrovsky certainly is ready to see his boys return with three top players back from their 2019 Class B state tournament team.

They’ll face nine teams at River’s Edge Golf Course on Friday with six being district opponents. Shotgun start is set for 10 a.m.

“The golf course is a great layout and will be a nice challenge for our team,” coach observed. “Our players will have to successfully manage the tree lined course and see what scores as a team we can put together.”

The Bison are sending six into this season opener with those four lowest scores determining team total and top 10 medal contention.

McCook will make its home debut on Tuesday when the Bison dual Cambridge.
