Sophomore Caylin Barnett dribbles away the final seconds of a Southwest 45-40 win over host Cambridge in Tuesday night's D1-11 subdistrict semifinals. The No. 3-seed Roughriders (10-10 record) repeated an earlier victory over No. 2 Cambridge this season and will play No. 1 Dundy County-Stratton Thursday night for a district finals spot. The Tigers rallied for a 48-46 escape over No. 4 Arapahoe during Tuesday's first semifinal at Cambridge High School. Barnett scored 18 points while sophomore teammates Brooklyn Clements and Kiana Martin (both left) each hit two huge clinching free throws to knock out the Trojans. Cambridge sophomore Breelle Miller (left) and junior Autumn Deterding see their season end with an 11-12 record. More details will appear in Thursday's McCook Gazette.

Dundy County-Stratton freshman Alyssa Schneider (left) stays close to Arapahoe sophomore Emerson Swanson during her Tigers' tight 48-46 subdistrict playoff win at Cambridge High Tuesday night.
