Tigers win another tourney, Trojan girls second

Junior Mark Nelms drilled four of six three-point shots during another dominant Dundy County-Stratton Tigers finals performance last week.

The Tigers (8-1) trounced South Platte, 79-42, to win that holiday tourney Thursday evening.

Senior Keegan Kutsinger also scored 14 points in his welcome return from an injury to bolster the Tigers’ inside game.

Freshman Jackson Kerchal reached double figures again with 11 points and junior Quade Myers tossed in another 12.

The Cambridge girls played their title game at South Platte but lost 52-41.

Carsyn Hanes did score 13 points to top the Trojans with Schyler Hoberty and Breelle Miller each adding eight.

Autumn Deterding brought in a Trojan-best eight rebounds.
