Finger-wagging
Dear Editor,
Anyone who missed NBC’s Meet the Press, last Sunday, where a contentious debate ensued between Chuck Todd and Senator Ron Johnson over the so-called conspiracy theory over the fraud in the recent election touted by President Trump and the Republicans.
Paraphrasing, to wit:
Todd: “Don’t you think you guys are starting a fire in our country, being arsonist, so to speak”
Johnson: “On the contrary! It was you guys in the media who started the fire two years ago, who were the real arsonists in our country and for two years you kept stoking the fire.”
From here on, Chuck Todd broke all rules of debate, shouting down the response, and the responder while “wagging his pointer finger” in the face of Johnson,” as if to say, “Shame!, Shame! on you. Shut up! How dare you attack me, and our ‘sacred cow’, the Media!”
The readers will not find this personal analysis of the debate in Google’s report of this debate But then, the reader should remember that Google and the Media have both their ‘goats’ tied to the same post --two bugs in a rug, that “snuggle close together.
Sincerely,
James G. McHale
