Broncos killin' it as they reach 13 wins

SUMNER, Neb. — Senior Haylee Sandman slammed 20 kills to help Wauneta-Palisade win a wild 25-22, 28-30, 25-21, 25-15 match from Sumner-Edyville-Miller Friday evening.

Freshman Peyton Cox crushed another 11 big points as the Broncos raised their record to 13-7. They’re building momentum for next week’s RPAC tournament which will conclude at McCook Community College Thursday evening.

The Broncos served an impressive 15 aces with six from senior leader Payton Yearous.

Sophomore Cali Cox contributed another three.

Cali Cox and Haylee Sandman both rose to make three stuff blocks at the net.

Alexa Sandman’s 24 digs paced the Bronco floor defense, though Haylee was close with 20 and freshman Gracee Goings made 14 during this intense match against 8-15 S-E-M.

After trading 25-22 decisions, the Broncos scored 25-23 and 25-15 victories over determined Medicine Valley Tuesday evening.

Haylee Sandman drilled 25 kills to help offset a combined 20 from Raider senior Acelyn Klein and junior Kaylynn Roblee.

The Broncos served 18 aces in that match as Yearous once again led with four.
