McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Bison made their first Weiland Field 2020 varsity game worth waiting for with a 42-0 shutout win over district rival Lexington Friday evening.

Senior quarterback Mark Arp ran and dove across the pylon to those first two Bison touchdowns.

Senior Alec Langan also tallied two TDs after breaking loose for four against Seward last week.

Luke Maris, yet another senior, ran 28 yards on third-and-11 while senior Brayden Kool caught a five-yard TD pass from backup quarterback Adam Dugger.

Lexington didn't get inside McCook's 35 until the final minute, and Dylan Paschall then picked off one final pass as time expired.

The Class B No. 8 Bison (3-1 record) have won three straight entering a second home game vs. Aurora next week.

Lexington fell to 1-4 and could not duplicate last year's 27-24 double overtime win over McCook.
