Hillcrest Nursing Home resident tests positive

McCOOK, Neb. — A resident at Hillcrest Nursing Home has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The resident is in the hospital.

“Hillcrest is working very closely with the health district and other entities for guidance in regards to this situation,” said Hillcrest administrator, Brad Cheek, in a press release.

“Hillcrest’s top priority is, and always has been, the health and well-being of our dear residents, staff and community. We understand that this is a trying tie for everyone; however, please know that Hillcrest is following all CDC and CMS guidelines to ensure resident and staff’s well-being during this difficult time,” the press release said.

The facility as been locked down since March 14 with no visitors, Cheek said, with family allowed to visit behind a glass door or through windows.
