McCook Schools extends closure for 3 more weeks

Friday, March 20, 2020

McCOOK, Neb. — McCook Public Schools will remain closed three more weeks, until April 13 due to the continued concern over the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The school district first closed on March 16.

McCook Schools Superintendent Grant Norgaard made the announcement today.

While the buildings remain closed, teachers will use several different methods to provide students with lessons. Many students will receive lessons via the internet, while others may have instructional packets delivered to them. These lessons will be provided to students by Tuesday, March 24.

If your child has not received any information by Tuesday, or if you have concerns over content delivery, parents are asked to contact the child’s school.

Lunches will continue to be provided during the extended school building closure. Please contact any of our schools or use our form that can be found on the school’s Facebook page.
