Curbside pickup offered by city library

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

McCOOK, Neb. — During the time the McCook Public Library is closed in an effort to reduce/prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus, starting today the McCook Public Library will offer “curb-side” pick-up of books, DVD’s and magazines.

Library director Jody Crocker asks patrons to call (308) 345-1906 and librarians will gather up requested items. Call again outside the library, let them know what kind of vehicle to look for and they’ll bring the items out. Or set up a pick-up time, and they’ll watch for the vehicle.

The hours for pick-up will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Check out the library’s website — libraries.ne.gov/mccook — to look at the library’s online catalog to see what is available.

Items that are due back at the library can still be placed in the drop-off on the south side of the building.

Crocker and her staff apologize for the inconvenience, but encourage people to take advantage of the modified service. “We are here to help during this time,” Crocker said.

Crocker also said the set-up of the “Library Innovations Studios” machines may be delayed.
