ARAPAHOE, Neb. — Senior Paxton Ross completed eight of eight passes with four for touchdowns in Cambridge’s 58-8 win over Arapahoe Thursday night.

Ross fired three TDs in a 30-0 first quarter for the unbeaten Trojans (4-0). Cambridge’s closest victory margin through four contests has been 34 points.

All three Deryk Huxoll pass receptions finished in the end zone covering 102 yards.

Ross first found senior Kyle Eubanks from 28 yards. The Warriors stopped an ensuing two-point conversion to keep it 6-0.

However, the Trojans connected twice on Ross-to-Huxoll passes for 29 and 32-yard TDs.

Cambridge made both two-point tries, so ross’ five-yard run made it 28-0.

Huxoll caught his second two-point pass which finished the first quarter.

Junior Clayton Sayer (22-yard run), Ross (nine-yard run), Ethan McArthur (one yard) and Huxoll (41-yard catch) added the ensuing four Cambridge TDs.

Arapahoe’s Keegan Benson did rumble 22 yards to one touchdown for the 0-4 Warriors.

Benson nearly broke the century mark with 96 yards on 21 rushes overall.

Isaac Goshert added 35 yards with just four carries. The Trojans still avenged last year’s loss.
