OBERLIN, Kan. — Lois Floydine Fredrickson, 90, died Monday (Aug. 19, 2019), at the Good Samaritan Society of Decatur County in Oberlin.

She was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Oberlin to Floyd and Lavina Mae (Van Pelt) Pierce. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1948.

She married Donald Fredrickson in Oberlin on Sept. 5, 1948. She and her husband owned Don’s Super Market. She was a member of the United Church of Oberlin, United Church Women, the Zeta Nu Club, and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Capitola (Bill) Warren, Norene (Howard) Plummer, Patty (Lemoin) Landau, and Doris (Charles Watson and Virgil) McKenzie.

Survivors include children, Kristi (Gene) Gallentine of Clayton and Brad (Gayle) Fredrickson of Kansas City; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, 12 noon to 7 p.m, at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with family present from 5-7 p.m.

Services are Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Oberlin Cemetery.
