Weather still whipping MCC diamond schedule

McCOOK, Neb. — A total of eight McCook Community College softball games scheduled for this week have been postponed.

In addition a pair of road doubleheaders at Lamar, Colo., scheduled for later this month has been moved up so the Lady Indians can get in a couple doubleheaders in Colorado Thursday and Friday.

Today’s game at Columbus against Central Community College was postponed and rescheduled for April 1 at 1 and 3 p.m.

Friday’s scheduled home game with Lamar Community College was postponed to March 29 at noon and 2 p.m. Also MCC’s four-game series at Lamar scheduled for March 30 and 31 were moved up to this weekend so the two teams will play in Lamar Thursday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (MT) and again Friday a 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (MT)

Saturday’s game at Beatrice against Southeast Community College was postponed until April 8 at 3 and 5 p.m.

Sunday’s home game against Central Community College was postponed until April 24 at 1 and 3 p.m.

Next week the schedule calls for a home doubleheader March 14 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. against North Platte Community College in the annual Purple Out games to raise money and awareness for epilepsy.

The Lady Indians are also scheduled to host Southeast Community College March 16 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
