Grannie Annie says 'Thanks!' to contributors

Again I say THANK YOU for supporting my Adopt a Chaplain project. It was an exciting 2 months getting ready for this event. Items and money kept coming in then Dick and I would go shopping for more items.

Setting up times with people to come and help pack. Schools and churches were busy writing cards. So much to do and it seems I’m not as fast as I used to be!

My hubby prepared all 270 boxes for filling. Volunteer ladies filled them then volunteer men taped them shut for shipment which is a big job. The USPS office people were wonderful.

To date, this community has sent 2435 boxes.

Everyone keeps asking me if I will do it next year I smile and say “I’ll let you know next Sept and see if this 80-year-old body is able” In the meantime I will send boxes on a much smaller scale over the next 9-10 months because of your generosity.

Two of my chaplains have received their boxes. They were soooo happy. Waiting to hear from the other three.
