Letter to the Editor

Let's wait til after Thanksgiving to hang decoration

Monday, November 19, 2018

Dear Editor,

I'm sorry, but I always thought that Thanksgiving came before Christmas.

I love both holidays, but in our city's infinite wisdom, they decided to celebrate Christmas with Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving has even come, let alone gone.

I am curious who decided that it was a good idea to put up Christmas decorations before we even had a chance to celebrate this wonderful holiday called Thanksgiving where we invite friends and family together to give thanks for all the things we are thankful for.

I would love to see Thanksgiving celebrated for the holiday it of giving thanks that it is before the holiday of buying gifts is promoted.

Yes, I understand the true meaning of Christmas for celebrating the birth of Christ, but I still say, let us have our tradition of giving thanks first.

Thank you.

  • A great advertisement for chiropractic care. When you can rotate your neck, you can actually look up. The city has been following this schedule whenever possible, forever.
