Tuesday, October 23, 2018
IMPERIAL, Neb. — Chase County captured a 7-6 win over the visiting Ogallala Indians to cap the Longhorns’ 4-5 football season Friday evening.
Though participation numbers were down this fall, Chase County still scored some tough impressive victories which included 12-8 at Chadron and 45-7 against the Holdrege Dusters.
The Longhorns were oh-so-close to a winning season if not for their 14-12 defeat against Sidney one week earlier.
No other details were obtained.
Southern Valley finished its 2-7 season with a 41-0 home loss against the Minden Whippets.
The Decatur Community (Kan.) Red Devils are 3-5 and Rawlins County (Kan.) Buffaloes sit at 1-7 following Friday night losses.
