McCOOK, Neb. — Dennis Gene Miller, age 71, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at his home in McCook.

Dennis was born on March 15, 1947, at Vallejo, Calif., to parents, Raymond Ralph and Evelyn Mae (Witt) Miller. After his high school graduation and two years of college, Dennis entered the U.S. Army on Aug. 10, 1966. He re-enlisted in 1968 and was honorably discharged on Nov. 10, 1971.

After his service to his country, Dennis eventually settled in Southwest Nebraska. He drove trucks over-the-road for Scott Melvin and Don Hagan, hauling almost everything until his health prevented him from working. On April 9, 1986, in Phoenix, Ariz., Thelma Ilene Stewart became the love of his life.

Dennis was an avid Cornhusker fan of football, volleyball, baseball and basketball. He was also a true fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Dennis had a passion for collecting Eagles.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and grandson, Jȇsus Banuelas.

Survivors include the love of his life for 32 years, Thelma of McCook; two sons, Thomas Miller, stationed in Germany and Paul Miller of McCook; two daughters, Christine (Shida) Keyhea of Phoenix and Andrea Miller of McCook; two half-sisters, Sharon Barrett and Janice Hammond, both of Bradenton, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and niece, Roxy Jones Barrett of North Platte.

Memorials may be given in his name.

There will be no public services at this time.
