The family of Ivan Schmid is requesting a card shower in honor of his 90th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018. Ivan was born at Curtis, Neb., in 1928. His family consists of his wife, Pat, of nearly 63 years, daughters, Debbie (Keith) Weber of Graham, Wash., and Cathy Schmid of Lincoln, Neb., and son, Donald Schmid of Chadron, Neb.; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Ivan owned and operated the Ivanhoe Donut Shops in McCook for 22 years and was very active as a volunteer in the community for many years.
