The family of Eugene Jones of Benkelman, Neb., is requesting a card shower in honor of his 90th birthday on Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was born in Stratton, Neb., in 1928. A long-time area resident, he graduated from Stratton High School in 1946 and was past owner of Jones Funeral Home in Benkelman. His family includes wife, Linda of Benkelman; children, Michael and wife, Joanie Jones of David City, Neb., Valerie and husband, Richard Fries of Benkelman, Cassandra Jones of Loomis, Neb., Robert Neville and wife, Delinda of Alliance, Neb., and Deborah Neville and special friend, Carson Cobb of Kearney Neb.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with number 16 to arrive in July.
