Letter to the Editor

Blue screen Trump?

Wednesday, January 10, 2018

Dear Editor,

The Fire and Fury book's recent release has brought to the forefront of the current news cycle questions about Trump's mental state and competency. Along with those questions comes speculation that none of us is qualified to make determinations about his mental fitness.

To that I say: When I turn on my television and it “blue screens,” while I don't know what the exact cause of the malfunction is, I still know that something is wrong with my television.

Likewise, when I listen to Trump and read Tweets like the one about his nuclear button being bigger than the North Korean nuclear button, while I am not able to determine exactly what that malfunction is, when a world leader taunts another world leader so carelessly about such a serious subject as nuclear attack that would result in the deaths of millions of humans and could even result in the end of human civilization, I can easily see that something is wrong.

Sincerely,

Pat Holder

Wauneta, Neb.

  • Notice how north and South Korea are now in talks. President Trump continues to operate at a different plane than his critics. He gets the job done in a real world way.

  • Chunky, Don't give Trump credit for the North and South Korea talks. He has NOTHING to do with that.

Pat, Mr. Trump won't be able to find a button because there is no button. He's talking like he's back in elementary school again.

However, I am glad Hillary isn't there. We just need to get Mr. Trump on track, focused and working for US. The people that elected him to Make AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Not make us look like fools!
