Nine-year-old Tysen Baker of McCook delivers his bicycle to the rummage sale to benefit the McCook Humane Society and animal shelter. Tysen likes the idea that his bike — the bike he’s outgrown — will help raise money to feed and care for animals; he has a dog, cats, a pony, a donkey, cows and horses. Oh, and don’t forget the hamster. Tysen is the son of Katrina Bonini and Sean Baker. Rummage sale coordinators Andrea O’Dea and Levina Fritsche are still accepting donations today until 5 p.m., in the 4-H Building on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds. They cannot accept clothing, large kitchen appliances, televisions or computers. The sale will be Friday, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. All proceeds from the sale go to the humane society and animal shelter.
