Dennis Shannon Memorial
The first “Dennis Shannon Memorial” and fourth annual “Remember Our Vets” car and bike show will be Saturday, June 3, from 11 a.m until 5 p.m., in the Bartley city park. Dennis Shannon, the coordinator of the “Vets” car show for three years, died Jan. 2, 2017, but his family will continue the car show in his memory, and all proceeds will continue to go to one of Dennis’ favorite causes, the Grand Island V.A. Home “Staff for Santa.” Registration is $10 for cars or motorcycles; there will be prizes and raffles throughout the day. For more information, call Cathy Shannon, (308) 692-3241 or (308) 737-9467.
