Letter to the Editor

Nebraska Nice

Thursday, May 11, 2017

Dear Editor,

With so much bad news inundating us all the time, it is a pleasure to write good things about people! Last Sunday, my car got stuck as I was trying to get up a hill to home. A young man and his girlfriend in a pickup truck, stopped to help me.

After quite a struggle, it turned out to be futile and they ended up being able to pull me back down the hill and safely into a parking lot where I left my car.

They then brought me home. Of course, I had thanked them and ask them to wait a minute while I went in the house to get money to pay them. They refused -said they were happy to help and took off before I could even get in the house.

There were three large limbs down in my front yard. I had a very busy Monday, but knew when I got home, I had to take care of them. Imagine my surprise when I got home and the limbs were gone! There was another good deed done without compensation. Yes - "Nebraska Nice”
