McCOOK, Neb. -- McCook Community College's men aim to regain their winning momentum at home tonight after two tough weekend road defeats.

The Indians (10-7 overall, 2-5 region) ralled from eight down at Otero, Colo., Saturday only to see those host Rattlers still score an 84-82 overtime win.

It was a tough defeat considering sophomore forward Lewis Diankulu's super 25-point, 16-rebound effort.

Diankulu hit 10 of his 14 field goals and another five for seven from the foul line.

The Indians featured three other double-figure scorers in Torrey Mayo (15 points), D'Von Moore (15) and sophomore Draylan Perkins (12).

That trio combined to hit all eight McCook three-points with Perkins and Moore making three apiece.

However, the Indians only shot 41 percent overall and 32 percent from beyond that arc. They fell short despite forcing 19 turnovers while losing just 13.

Others scoring points for McCook were Chinedu Okonkwo (six), Brody Sharkey (four), Niejel Young (four) and Shevelle Bailey (two).

The Indians took an 80-67 defeat at Trinidad State (Colo.) on Friday. No stats or other details were obtained from that contest.

North Platte brings an 11-5 record into tonight's conference game at McCook.

Women

McCook Community College's women also dropped two during their Colorado road trip last weekend.

The Indians fell to Otero, 55-51, even though Kylea Watson from Edison put in 18 points including seven of her eight free-throw attempts.

Erica Peet was McCook's only other double-figure scorer with 10 points.

Grayce Jorgensen added seven points on perfect shooting: two for two from two-point range and all three free throws.

Atunuwa Eva's nine rebounds also led the Indians.

The Indians (10-9 record) dropped a 74-46 contest at Trinidad Friday evening.

No details were obtained from that contest.

The McCook-North Platte women's game begins tonight's doubleheader at 5:30 p.m., according to available information.
