Good care

Dear Editor,

I would like to inform everyone about what a wonderful nursing home we have in McCook. I have heard people say before, "If I ever have to go to a nursing home, I want to go to Hillcrest."

We got to experience the love and wonderful care that is given when my mother, Leanna Young, had to be placed in Hillcrest last March.

All of the staff were so cheerful and encouraging. Every day she received hugs and when she needed something all she had to do was push her call light and they were right there.

The nurses were kind and understanding and were there with her right up until the end.

Several of them were crying at her death. One told me it is like a family and when we lose one we grieve too.

I would also like to praise the care she received at Highland Park for eight years. She definitely felt the staff and residents were like family.

They were all so good to her and helped her to be able to stay as long as possible.

We truly are blessed to have such wonderful care facilities in McCook.
