Letter to the Editor

Time to move on

Friday, November 25, 2016

Dear Editor,

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

For heaven's sake the election has been over for two weeks now.

It is time that we stop the negative remarks about the two candidates and move on and just drop the subject.

We had a election and Donald Trump is our new president whether you like it or not.

No matter what you do or say, that will not change anything, Donald Trump is our new president, and so move on.

The riots and protest that are going on will not do any good. We need to stop judging the two candidates because it is not in our place to judge them or judge anybody at all.

My grandmother has always told me that you have respect for the president of the United States no matter if you like or dislike him, and he is not only the president he is the leader of our country and commander in chief.

I heard on the national news that there was a poll taken and find out that 67 percent of the people that were a part of the protest did not vote.

President Obama said in a speech that every one needs to vote and if you sit back and say your vote does not count -- it does count every vote makes a difference.

A speech that President Kennedy said and I quote "we all breathe the same air and we all cherish our children's future and we are mortal."

The negative things that you and other people say about the president are just as bad as having hate towards some one for the color of their skin.

All of you that are parents should stop and set a good role model and do not say bad things about President Trump and Hillary Clinton.

I am proud to be a American and if you say you are proud to be a American, stop the hateful remarks about the president and have no hate towards him or anybody, for who they are or what color of skin they have, and show respect for the President whether you like him or not, the hate needs to stop and it starts at home as you should set a good role model for our children and with this I say God bless you all.

Thank you.
