The family of Marie Alberts of McCook is requesting a card shower in honor of her 101st birthday Wednesday, Aug. 31. She was born 1915 in Culbertson, Neb. She married Albert Alberts. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and worked for many years at the McCook Public Library. Her family includes children, Joanne Hein of Melbourne, Fla., Kathy Donaldson of Memphis, Tenn., and Bill and Sallie Alberts of Grand Island, Neb.; grandchildren, Brenda and Steve Harris and Randy Hein of Lincoln, Pam Kontras of Melbourne, Fla., Andy and Annie Alberts of Tallmadge, Ohio and Amy and Ron Grafelman of LaVista, Neb.; 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
