What about rights of the child?
Dear Editor,
It is interesting to me to watch the media and especially those who are actively following the campaign on TV.
I have to be careful of what I say or I may have an anti-Trump rally at my door. When asked lately if there should be punishment for women who have an abortion. I have "some" agreement with what he said. It obviously is the responsibility of both male and female to raise that child. There has been much criticism as to why he didn't "think" the question over more with a "better" answer.
Why do we have to even "think" about a politically-correct answer? If something is wrong, it's wrong. Yes, both parents are wrong if they take the life of a child.
Then the statement had to be amended to say the doctors and clinics are guilty.
Really?
Are the gun factories guilty for murders? No, if we now have or would have all electric cars we wouldn't need any more gas stations. No more abortion -- no more clinics or doctors except for abortions to save the mother, or rape or incest.
Even then, many who have had a rape or incest even happen (according to reports) that even then they feel like they wished they had kept the baby. The big question again is -- when does life begin?
It happens at conception. This is when God starts life. In Isaiah 44:4 we read: "thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and He that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens along; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself."
That being said, we or anyone anywhere running for any office should not have to be under such "close scrutiny" by the media for simply standing up for the law and for something which si wrong. Ironically over the years, candidates have said it's only up to the woman to do whatever she wants with her body. Really? What about the "rights" of the child.
Sincerely,
Jim Howard
