Crimestoppers offers rewards for stolen 4-wheeler, other items

McCOOK, Neb. -- The McCook Area Crime Stoppers is seeking help solving a burglary in rural Cambridge which occurred earlier this week.

During the late evening hours of Tuesday, April 5, or early morning hours Wednesday, person or persons entered a farm quonset located on the Red Willow and Furnas County line. The intruders unlawfully removed a red or maroon 4-wheeler, a gas powered post hole digger, fencers and an electric wire winder, according to a press release from the Red Willow County Sheriff's Department.

The 4-wheeler is identifiable by a missing headlight and a rip in the seat.

The total loss suffered by the owners as a result of the crime is yet to be determined.

The McCook Area Crime Stoppers and local law enforcement are asking for help in solving this crime and offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect or suspects.

"It is our belief that someone knows something about this crime and we encourage you to make the call. Everyone involved in this crime, whether they participated in the commission of the crime or helped cover it up by withholding information, will be sought out and prosecuted. So if you are involved in any way, please get out now by coming forward with what you know," said the Red Willow County Sheriff's Department in the release.
