90th birthday

The family of Leona Wudtke of McCook is hosting an open house in honor of her 90th birthday Saturday, Nov. 14. She was born in Culbertson, Nebraska, in 1925. She grew up in Culbertson and after marrying Erwin, they lived in Herndon, Kansas, until they moved to a farm in 1955, where Red Willow used to be. She was a cook at Red Willow School for many years before moving to McCook. She enjoys playing cards and being involved in activities at Brookdale Senior Living. The open house with cake and coffee is Saturday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brookdale Senior Living in McCook at 1500 East 11th Street. Her family includes her late husband, Erwin Wudtke; children, Dennis Wudtke and wife, Carolyn of Witchita, Kansas, Stan Wudtke and wife, Claralynn of McCook, Sherri Flanagan and husband, Jim of Kearney, Nebraska, Pat Jeanperrin of Arvado, Colorado and her late husband, Richard; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
