Shopping 'for the dogs'

As in the past, above, bargain hunters can come shop at a super-sized garage sale and support the McCook Humane Society and animal shelter. Garage sale coordinators (and avid shelter supporters)Andrea O'Dea and Levina Fritsche will donate proceeds from their sales Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17, 18 and 19, to the animal shelter. People are encouraged to drop off their donations of sale items Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the 4-H Building on the Red Willow County fairgrounds in McCook from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The sale will be Thursday and Friday, Sept. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Pricing will be $5 a bag, with larger items individually priced.
