100th birthday

The family of Philip Phares of Grant, Nebraska, is requesting a card shower in honor of his 100th birthday June 16. He was born in Hayes County in 1915. He farmed four miles east of Palisade, where he spent most of his life until moving to Ogallala, Nebraska, in 2003. He and his late wife, Rita, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2007. His family includes Carol and Lou Kraus, Richard and Melanie Phares, Alan Phares, Barbara and Larry Malicky, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
