Tyrel Rieker of Lexington, Nebraska, and Rachael Calvo of Bassett were among the 300-or-so high school students who competed in two Southwest Nebraska High School rodeos Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Kiplinger Arena in McCook. Tyrel's bareback horse came out on top of the horse-rider contest; Rachael tied her goat in 9.63 seconds. Rodeo results will become available later this week.

  • Kiplinger is one of the best sites for these type events in the tri-state region!
