90th birthday

The family of Keith Arterburn of McCook are hosting an open house and card shower in honor of his 90th birthday Feb. 5. The open house is Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, 2-4 p.m. at the McCook Christian Church at 507 West B Street. Keith grew up on a ranch near Lamar and graduated from high school in Imperial. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he studied at the University of Nebraska. He met his wife, Hazel, while teaching in Minden. After a short time in Gothenburg and Broken Bow, Nebraska, they moved to McCook in 1962. He has worked in farm management and realty across southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas ever since. He remains active in the church and community. His family includes his children, Ann Morrill and husband, Bruce of Stilwell, Kansas, David and Cindy Arterburn of Papillion, Nebraska, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
