Detail shop opens on East B

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Southwest Nebraska car owners who have driven to North Platte to get "Q-Tip clean" interiors and glow-in-the-sunlight exteriors can get the same look now in McCook.

Yoshida Detailing has offered car detailing in North Platte for 20 years, and now, Serena and Jerry Yoshida, of North Platte, have opened a new detailing shop in McCook.

"For years, people from the McCook area have been coming to our shop in North Platte," Jerry said. "By opening a shop in McCook, we can serve them better, and make new friends in the process."

Manning the shop are brothers Robert and James Jensen. "Robert's strong in paint perfection and gloss enhancement," Jerry said. "He can make anything shine!"

James is a specialist in interiors. "He can rock out an interior like you can't believe," Jerry said.

Jerry is proud of the finished product that leaves the shop. "The transformation of a vehicle -- from coming in to going out -- is extreme," he said. "I've had people tell me they bought their vehicle new, and it didn't look this good."

Jerry is also very proud of the work and the work ethic of the Jensen brothers. "These guys are doing awesome work. It's their passion. It shows in their work," he said.

The Yoshidas have located their new shop at 1318 East B, on the south side of the highway, next door to Dennis Rowe's mechanics shops. Parking's available in front, just off the highway (B Street).

The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
