No wrongdoing in bison killing
Friday, February 14, 2014
The investigation into the shooting and killing of a buffalo in North Platte's Cody Park has found no wrongdoing.
A 5- or 6-year old bison bull got started breaking through fences and bothering other animals in the park, the parks director arranged to have the animal killed and slaughtered.
The animal weighed 1,675 pounds, sold for $1.85 a pound, netting the city $3,100.
Sounds like good management to us.
