Missing horse found uninjured

WAUNETA, Nebraska -- Kent Buffington has found his horse. And answers to his prayers.

Kent's new horse, a Quarter Horse gelding named "Spider," went missing just a day after Tom Kiplinger, rural McCook, delivered him to Kent's rural Wauneta home on Sept. 22. Kent spent several days searching his own pastures and visiting with neighbors about the runaway. And praying to God that he would not only find Spider, but that he wouldn't be injured by going through barbed wire fences.

God answered both prayers, Kent said, because when he finally found the wanderer, there wasn't a cut or a scratch on him, despite being found four or five pastures from home.

Kent said Spider's home now, and in a small corral until he learns his new boundaries.
