JOHNSON LAKE, Nebraska -- Each summer Eustis Body Shop owner, Doug Keller, organizes a golf outing for his employees and a variety of vendors. This summer it was decided that all of the participants would kick in a little cash and then the winners would choose an organization to donate the winnings to.

On Aug. 9, 31 players gathered at Lakeside Country Club at Johnson Lake to enjoy the day and 18 holes. At the conclusion of the day Kim Jorges (Body Technician -- Lexington), Tom Soraha (Roy's Grand Dodge -- Grand Island) and Scott Aswege (Owner, Dent Poppers -- Kearney) were the victors with a score of -10. Kim Jorges, who has a child with Down Syndrome, and his teammates decided that their winnings should go to support the Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF) and primarily the Capital City Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk being held October 5, 2013 at Antelope Park in Lincoln. Event details can be found at dsafnebraska.org.

The Down Syndrome Association for Families is a Lincoln non-profit organization that provides support for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, friends, educators and professionals who share in their lives. Every person with Down syndrome is an individual who has a unique purpose and abilities. The Down Syndrome Association for Families provides networking and a positive vision for the future.
