90th birthday
The family of Ervin Schaffert of McCook, Nebraska, is hosting an open house in honor of his 90th birthday. He was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Bartley, Nebraska. He is a life-long resident of Southwest Nebraska. He has attended St. John's Lutheran Church/Ash Creek for more than 50 years and farmed southwest of Indianola until age 80. His family includes children, Sharon and Larry Holst of Independence, Missouri and Marcia and Mick Yannacito of Arvada, Colorado, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The open house is Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, 2-4 p.m. at Willow Ridge Senior Living Community, 1500 E. 11th Street in McCook.
