Disappointed
Dear Editor,
I am writing with reference to one of "Mike's" latest pieces in the Gazette in which he ended the article expressing his pride of membership in the Democratic Party.
I have known Mike for many years; sometimes we are in complete agreement and sometimes we don't think the same.
However this was a surprise. I know that he has a liberal "bent," but does he really believe in the current Democratic Party; a party of congressional politicians who absolutely support Obama care -- a program that is going to cost working class Americans many millions, if not billions of dollars.
Does he support the terrible growth in the national debt. Does he support the idea that the debacle and cover-up in Bengazi, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, and the governmental gun-running to the drug cartels in Mexico are simply "phony scandles"? If so, I am disappointed in my friend's political leanings.
As for me, I am not happy with the current Republican Party either, but at least a few Republican members of Congress are asking some questions.
Maybe sometime in the near future they will offer some real and practical "solutions" to the problems this country is now facing.
Someone, somewhere, must come up with some ideas that will put this country back onto the road to recovery.
