Letter to the Editor

Holocaust continues

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Dear Editor,

It has now been 40 years since the United States Supreme Court legalized abortion at all stages of a mother's pregnancy. Since that time over 55 million innocent children's lives have been snuffed out by brutal means. This holocaust continues to occur at the rate of 3,000 murders of innocents per day.

Father Frank Pavone of the Priests for Life has been quoted as saying: "Before discussing whether abortion is right or wrong or should be legal or illegal, we have to focus on what it is and what it does. In social reform movements that uproot deeply embedded societal evils, the victim is always visualized. If we don't see the victim, we don't see the violence, and we are not moved to stop the violence."

In an effort to expose abortion for what it does, Fr. Pavone has shared quotes that may be from a past or current abortion provider, or a court case, or someone who has had an abortion or another source at his website http://www.exposeabortion.com/.

I would like to share with you some of these quotes in order that you may be better informed about what happens in abortion facilities daily here in America.

"A long curved Mayo scissors may be necessary to decapitate and dismember the fetus..."

(From the medical textbook Abortion Practice - Dr. Warren Hern, p.154, describing legal activity).

"Question: Can the heart of a fetus or embryo still be beating during a suction curettage abortion as the fetus or embryo comes down the cannula?

Answer: For a few seconds to a minute, yes."

(Sworn testimony given in US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (Madison, WI, May 27, 1999, Case No. 98-C-0305-S), by Dr. Harlan Raymond Giles, an abortionist. He describes legal activity.)

"The Supreme Court's decisions...allowed abortion on demand throughout the entire nine months of pregnancy"

(Paul B. Linton, Enforcement of State Abortion Statutes after Roe: A State-by-State Analysis, University of Detroit Law Review, Vol. 67, Issue 2, Winter 1990).

"The fetus passes through the catheter and either dies in transit as it's passing through the catheter or dies in the suction bottle after it's actually all the way out."

(Sworn testimony given in US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (Madison, WI, May 27, 1999, Case No. 98-C-0305-S), by Dr. Martin Haskell, an abortionist. He describes legal activity.)

"I have taken the lives of innocent babies and I have ripped them from their mother's wombs with a powerful suction machine." - abortionist McArthur Hill, MD.

"I was finally able to remove the head and look squarely into the face of a human being...a human I had just killed." -- abortionist Paul Jarrett, MD

"You can see a miniature person... as a physician... I am destroying life." -- abortionist Benjamin Kalish, MD

The sensations of dismemberment flow through the forceps like an electric current. -- Abortionist Warren Hern

"And typically when the abortion procedure is started we typically know that the fetus is still alive because either we can feel it move as we're making our initial grasps or if we're using some ultrasound visualization when we actually see a heartbeat as we're starting the procedure." (This account of D&E is part of sworn testimony given in US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (Madison, WI, May 27, 19Th99, Case No. 98-C-0305-S), by Dr. Martin Haskell, an abortionist

It [abortion] goes against all things which are natural. It's a termination of a life, however you look at it.

(Robert Harris, abortionist, From author Magda Denes, PhD. "In Necessity and Sorrow: Life and Death Inside an Abortion Hospital".)

If you would like to learn more from these quotes, please go to the above referenced website for daily updates. In Fr. Pavone's words: "America will not end abortion until America sees abortion."

Praying for the protection of all life from conception until natural death,

Kathie Cappel
