As cuts in social services take a toll on the poor -- particularly in our rural community -- the Salvation Army Service Extension Unit in McCook/Red Willow County is asking for our community's support. Ninety percent of funds raised through the Kettle Campaign will stay right here in McCook/Red Willow County to provide children the opportunity to attend a summer camp, help families with utility assistance, or aid community residents in time of a natural disaster. The Salvation Army's McCook/Red Willow County Service Extension puts Christmas Kettle funds to work -- right here -- all year long. We expect an even greater demand for services this year, and need your support more than ever.
By offering your time to bell ring individually, as a business donation, service organization activity or with a personal contribution next year can mean a brighter future and renewed chance for many McCook/Red Willow County residents. If you are able to bell ring Dec. 10 to Dec. 23, or have any further questions, please contact Traci Taylor, coordinator, at
(308) 350-0904.
May God bless you!
Sincerely,
Bell-Ringing Chairperson
Salvation Army Service Extension Unit of McCook/Red Willow County
