Antique tractor show moves north on Norris

Monday, August 27, 2012

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County, Nebraska, commissioners gave Tim Monzon permission Monday morning to display antique and collectible tractors on the vacant lots north of courthouse in McCook during the community's annual Heritage Days celebration scheduled the last weekend of September.

Monzon, of McCook, will rope off the vacant lots now being used as a parking lot Friday evening, Sept. 28, in preparation of the tractor show Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Monzon said last year's tractor show was at Norris Avenue and C Street, but he likes the location adjacent to the courthouse because it's closer to activities in Norris Park.

Monzon told commissioners during their weekly meeting Monday that he has insurance for the tractor show.

Monzon coordinates the tractor show for the McCook Art Guild. Contact him, (308) 340-2315, for registraton information.
