Her parents were Seymour Bailey, a Nebraska Hall of Fame baseball player and Nola Pember Bailey. Her family includes children, Bill and his wife, Darlene Powell of Littleton, Colorado, Yvonne Powell of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
