Torsten Anderson of Benkelman, Nebraska, formerly of Max, will celebrate his 104th birthday Friday, July 13. Torsten is a native of Sweden who, as a 17-year-old, moved to a ranch north of Max with his brother, Carl B., in 1925. The ranch was owned by Torsten's and Carl's uncles; Torsten inherited the ranch and lived and worked there until just before his 99th birthday, when he moved into the Hester Home in Benkelman.
