Preserving history

Monday, June 25, 2012

Dear Editor,

Attention: concrete crushers, feedlot owners, farmers, grain elevators, oil companies, truck training, sail plane contestants, public power, Game & Parks and the public who took part in activities concerning the apron at McCook Army Air Base.

The 9th Bomb Group Association is helping McCook AAB raise money to purchase and move the county road to the apron for public safety at the historic air base.

They are interested in purchasing from concrete crushers, feedlot owners and landowners to preserve the historical integrity.

One acre is approximately 40 feet by 1,100 feet. They are offering above market value for concrete and land, and are willing to negotiate size.

Their goals are to honor those of all wars.
