Quite a week

As you know the week of June 11 was quite a week for Culbertson Fire, Frenchman Valley Mutual Aid and Rawlins County Mutual Aid. The fire south of Culbertson was a large fire in rough terrain. It took everything available to bring it under control. Culbertson Fire would like to thank everyone involved for their help and support. There were nine fire departments, three ambulances, three spray planes, five local businesses and farm semi-tankers hauling water and a huge amount of community support bringing and distributing drinks and food. The Hitchcock County Sheriff's department and the Nebraska State Patrol controlled traffic on Hwy 17 making it possible for the planes to land close to the fire to refill with water.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for your part in this huge project. We appreciate you more than you can imagine.
