Beautify entrances

Dear Editor,

I am concerned that the various entrances to McCook lack any beautification. As you head into town past Walmart, all you see are those dying pine trees along their parking lot.

On Highways 6 and 34 west of town you are greeted one billboard after another. How much more attractive McCook could be were trees and shrubs planted along the sidewalk from Walmart to town.

On Highway 83 north toward North Platte, there are no trees there, either.

The same goes for Highways 6 and 34 west to Cambridge. You have it right -- no trees or shrubs on Highway 83 south towards Oberlin, Kansas. Yuck!

Thank you to the person who wrote in and got the plants and flowers planted on B Street and Norris Avenue!
