Duck stamp winner -- again
Friday, May 18, 2012
Emily Tolliver's entry wins the Nebraska division of the annual U.S. Fish and Wildlife Junior Duck Stamp Contest -- for the third year in a row. Emily has entered the contest eight times in her school career -- creating almost enough drawings for her own calendar, Steve Clapp, her art teacher at McCook, Nebraska, Senior High, points out proudly. Emily does indeed "go" hunting, she said, with her uncles, but she adds with a giggle, "I don't ever actually fire the gun." Emily is the daughter of Mary and Rick Tolliver of McCook. She is a spring graduate of McCook Senior High and plans to study elementary education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
