McCook Methodist Women host Mother/Daughter supper

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook United Methodist Women hosted a Mother/Daughter/Guest Salad Supper May 9, 2012.

There were about 60 women and children in attendance. The entertainment was Hanna Reichart, a 14-year-old accordion player from Elm Creek, Nebraska. She was such a delight and just beamed with talent and personality.

Roses were given to several guests meeting the mother criteria, such as most children, most great-grandchildren, most generations present, traveled the farthest distance, and of course the group's Elaine Skiles, being 96, was the oldest mother present.

The next Unit meeting will be 9:30 a.m., June 14, 2012, for the Guest Day Brunch. Invitations have been mailed to other UMW groups in Southwest Nebraska.

June 10, 2012, will be UMW Sunday at church.
